I only use it on the back of my car so it's perfect for my needs. You can see the ugly dealer panel that came with the car on the front and the clear cover that was attached to the back of the car. I just need to replace the black screws that came with the machine with silver ones so they are less noticeable. These covers are very flexible. It's not a hard, tough, unyielding plastic, if you drop it it will break instantly. That is understandable. It's not optical quality, but it's a license plate cover, which it shouldn't be. I'd suggest using a bead of silicone glue or something to stick your panel to the cover so it's an airtight seal so you don't have to worry about dirt getting in between, and also make sure you put something on your lay car. It's a foam sticker on the tread or something to prevent the paint from rubbing against the plate and also to prevent vibration if you have subwoofers or if your car tends to rattle. That goes for every record. I've noticed complaints about similar products about bugs when you use them on the front. I suggest you treat the covers with an aerosol wax or detailing spray that forms a thin layer. If you use it every time you wash your car, it makes cleaning easier and also offers a little UV protection.
