Purchased two of these for my cub scouts a few months ago. Pros are that the kids were able to easily fit their sleeping bags and other supplies (for 1 or two nights) inside the space and then carry them about a mile to and from the camp sites. We did not get them wet or use them for any expended hiking so can’t comment on those tests. After our second overnight camping trip the zipper pull broke off and so I’ll have to replace the entire zipper on the main compartment to continue using these bags. The cost of the zipper replacement may be more expensive than the entire bag. Unfortunately we use these bags only every few months so I only discovered this "flaw”after the return window closed. All In all I feel that the quality equaled what I paid for this item.
