Review on UGREEN Adapter MacBook Chromebook Pixelbook by James Collins

Revainrating 1 out of 5

As a single-charge hub ok

First of all, I love Ugreen. Their USB-C cables are excellent and I recommended them here. This is a decent USB hub with a USB-C port for your device. That's not so little; 4 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide. As such, it's little more than a typical tourist hub. Unfortunately, this is a NON-CHARGING hub and is therefore rated 4 stars. Yes, it has a micro USB 5V DC input and powers the hub, reducing battery drain. from devices connected to the hub I assume, but it will NOT charge your device. I've tested it on both my Samsung SM-T720 tablet and my wife's Note 8 phone. Even with a high power USB hub as the power source, the host device will not charge. On this famous auction site I found an unbranded USB-C hub that at least charges the host device for a low price so they were hoping to upgrade with this Ugreen hub and it works great as a hub but I wanted to it actually be able to charge the host device.

Pros
  • Full power for 2.5" and 3.5" SSD hard drives: integrated micro-USB charging connection, maximum power 5V 2.4A for this 4-port hub adapter especially for power-hungry devices such as 2.5" and 3.5" devices. USB HDD/SSD (Note: 1. This micro USB port can't be used to charge your phone or computer. 2. AC adapter and cable are not included.)
Cons
