It is not possible to call a computer without first installing Messenger, unlike the current method where this is easily possible. Even after installation, they continue to receive calls on their phone, not on the computer. Also called on a tablet and the rotation didn't seem to work, tried a few times and kept having problems, bringing it back seems a great idea but far from mature :(Added a picture of how it works on a tablet Update: I saved it and bought it for mom it seems like the only way to check how it works when calling portal to portal it seems calling from phone or tablet isn't the ideal way is to use this i was hoping it would just call any other messenger no matter where it was installed from (pc/tablet) no problem to not so good not ideal for any of the people i want to talk to a portal to buy but at least try, I was expecting something Better than Skype, but not so much I like the video and sound of the device, there are not many applications yet, but as I see in the ads I've seen it, I think it's more focused on a video chat approach like Skype, let's try 2 portals and see how it's bots.
