Update: All my previously provided information is still correct. Sometimes the dock doesn't connect all the peripherals the first time you connect it, but reconnecting the dock usually fixes the problem! The 180w adapter I use has no charging issues, I can throw anything in and it charges well to handle the load! Got my docking station today. A few things to note of my use. Firstly, go to the Dell website and download the drivers. Install the drivers the same way they did originally when I first plugged in the dock. It got crazy while Windows was trying to figure out the driver situation. Second, I have an XPS 9570, I ordered a 240w PSU and it should be delivered tomorrow. The Dell website says (and many others on Revain say) you need a 240w adapter to work with my machine. I was putting it under heavy load when, if the dock wasn't able to deliver proper performance, I would either see CPU/GPU throttling or drain the battery. NOTHING like that happened. So note that either I have a unicorn laptop or everyone is wrong when it comes to the power required for my model. Also, I have an i7 model, GTX 1050ti, 4K max output. The adapter that came with my device is 130w, so the 180w dock power adapter should support video, audio and my gaming keyboard. , mouse and RGB mouse pad. So I was skeptical from the start, but it seems my skepticism was justified. I haven't experienced any issues with the display turning off on my 1440p monitor or any other issues with peripherals turning off. When reconnecting the docking station, everything is connected in 5-10 seconds. Sometimes the display doesn't work when plugged back in (although I can't tell if it's my monitor, laptop, or docking station). I will update my review over time and if anything previously noted will change at any time.
