Review on Proto-Pasta CDP11705 Composite Conductive PLA 4-Pack by Jeff Leu

So it took me a while to print with this filament. I was hesitant as reviews describe it as being quite abrasive and the nozzle wears out quickly, but I felt I didn't need to type too much. An example use case is a small base board for multiple surface mount devices that can be used in packages. I do 3D printing. It seemed to me that this is a great opportunity to create basic and simple routes directly on the 3D printed surface in the device I made. However, the first test print of the 4x2cm "PCB" gave me some bad results. Looks GREAT - not flashy, adheres perfectly to the surface and overall my expectations were high. Until I connected a multimeter to it. At about 1 cm I get a resistance of about 2 kOhm. It takes a little longer to get to 5K resistance. This is the circuit where my resistors are 330 ohms (yes, small LED). It's not even remotely useful for something low-powered. If you're interested in converting Gerber to STL for printing, I used KiCad's Print to SVG and then converted the SVG to STL (many programs can do this - even free online services). But as long as it looks good I won't even try to put a component on it.
