I bought this optical cable after wall mounting the TV in my guest room. It was connected to my old school Bose Solo TV sound system. It only has an optical audio port. Anyway the 6" was too short and I bought it because of the price and length. It got easily from the TV into the low voltage wire in the wall and then into the soundbar. This particular soundbar isn't wall mounted, it's old but still has great sound. No connection issues as some have complained. Both plug into their respective ports and the audio is the same as using the original 6ft cable. I recommend this product. It's very thin , but it's not a cable to be disconnected many times For less than 6.00 this was a good deal.
