I bought this backpack for my mother. She went on a trip to Europe and wanted something instead of a handbag. The nylon material is great and keeps all kinds of water out. The side water bottle pocket is great, but any bottle that is 22 ounces or larger will be too big for this pocket. Also, the buckle on the front suits the design better as there is a magnetic button at the bottom that keeps the back closed. The magnetic closure works well, just try not to pack too much and you'll be fine. I would say the back size is between a standard school backpack and a mini backpack. You can definitely put a lot in there. All in all a great purchase.
