Every time I play with my Wii U, the batteries in the controller die. IDK who's playing or when those controllers turn on, but it never fails every time. So when I saw the opportunity to have rechargeable controllers, I jumped at it! So this charging station is not perfect. My first annoyance was that my Wii controllers didn't fit in the cases. These silicone cases are very difficult to put on and take off. But what would I take off them. Next is the SUPER TIGHT rechargeable pack. It's like you really have to make him get there. One of them pinched my finger. So it wasn't fun. But it's better than buying batteries over and over again. Then the device had to be plugged in and I have to say this is the shortest charging cable I have ever seen. For example, look at my photo. The station needs to be close to an outlet, I can't even pair it with other charging stations for my other consoles. They just hang on the wall by themselves... For some reason there were no instructions for doing this. I mean most things speak for themselves. Except flowers. I install controllers. One turned red (which I think means it needed charging), the other was purple then turned blue? I'm not sure what purple means. They're both blue now, so I'm guessing they're both charged. I mean it works. And I'm glad it works. There are a few little things that could be improved, but it works.
