Trial and error has shown that the tolerances for the battery side are not what they should be compared to the OEM case. Confirmed this with the new side of the button and the old side of the OEM battery and it worked. Not so with the new battery compartment. The simple fix was to carefully bend the battery posts, especially the one touching the side of the battery. Maybe 1/8 inch if that's the case. Once I did that, both worked. I paired this with a silicone case so I'm not worried they won't last, but they aren't as durable as the originals. All I have to say is that for $7 it's a breeze compared to reprogramming at the dealer. Just get your expectations right.
