This just arrived today along with the MS7201CH chrome stage mic stand I ordered. I enjoyed putting it together with my Shure Super 55. I didn't have to remove the star of the mic stand or the quick nut. I have left everything as received to show it fits as is. He feels strong. The problem with these mics is that when you really want to move around the stage during energetic songs without jerking the stand all over the place, they slow you down. A quick release gives me that freedom. It fits well, looks good and feels like it could last a while.
