These are true blackout and insulating curtains. I booked for my bedroom that gets direct Phoenix afternoon sun. They completely block all light. My main need was also isolation from the summer heat. They really help keep the heat out. The difference is very noticeable when the curtains are closed. The color is the same as in the Revain picture. The texture is nice too. It really does look like linen, but if you take a closer look you realize it's not. The photos are posted without the curtain (the bedroom lights are off) and with the curtain (had to turn the bedroom lights on because they block the light). The only light coming through the top of the curtain where it isn't flush with the wall.
