Review on Wellness Natural Canned Food 3 Ounce by Jamie Sand

I have been feeding my kittens this food since July 16th, they love it and are healthy with a shiny coat. I give the food 5 but 2 stars due to the bad batch I received. I started buying it from Amazon about 4 months ago. I order 6 packs out of 24 every month. With this latest order. At first I used a knife to get food out and never looked at the underside. After a few days, I inverted the jar to get food out and noticed a white substance at the bottom, as well as a semi-hard crust that had formed at the bottom (except for the central area). I opened 2 more cans and saw something normal and didn't think it was serious so I fed it to my kittens for about a week. Then one of my cats developed a hot spot and it may have been a reaction to this bad batch because as soon as I fed him the same food from another pet store the spot started to heal and disappeared after 4 days. So after the hot spot formed, I basically opened one jar at a time to see this white stuff - after about 20 jars I realized they all had this white stuff on the bottom. I sent pictures to Wellness and the rep told me to throw the food away but didn't explain what the white stuff was. When I bought canned food from the local pet store, the food looked more pink and didn't contain any white particles. The Amazon jars were nowhere near past their sell by date, but now I don't trust them to handle/store pet food.
