Review on Nikon 50mm f/1.4G AF-S Nikkor lens, black by Kiril Baytoshev ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

A bad product, not worth the money.

Today they brought it and once decided to shoot on an open aperture. Chromate wildly! I took it for portraits, it will be hardly noticeable there, but the fact itself is depressing. Here is an example I had to set the focus adjustment to -20 and, judging by the tests, the optimum will be at -21.22. Too much. . It was not possible to adjust the autofocus in this way, even after the “computer tuning” was made under warranty. Everything remains the same: on the D7000 - 20 and a noticeable back. On D300s you can achieve normal operation, but at whatcomst! As it turned out, with different apertures, different adjustments are needed. At 1.4 itcomsts +10-+12. At 2.0 it is 0, at 4 it is already about -11. And this is at a distance of a meter and a half. If you move further (orcome closer), then the values \u200b\u200bwill be different. It makes me sad, to be honest. Didn't expect that.

Pros
  • luminosity
Cons
  • chromatic aberration, focus adjustment required
