This dress is very well made and stands up to repeated wash and wear. When it first arrived it was packed in the usual plastic ziploc bag type of thing. Which means some work has to be done to get it ready for wear. Usually I hang the dress on a hanger and let it hang out in the bathroom through a couple of showers so the steam will help some of the wrinkles fall out. This is usually followed by some time with the steamer and then an iron on a low setting to get the stubborn wrinkles out and re-shape any attached flowers or bows. This dress took very little work to get it into shape after taking it out of the package. Most of the wrinkles in the tulle fell out during its time in the bathroom. Some steam and a bit of ironing on the flower, waistband and underskirt was basically all it took. I ordered a size up and it fit her perfectly. After the first outing with it there was a red punch stain and something green that ended up on the waistband area. I just hit it with spray and wash and ran it through the wash machine. Everything came right out and not one sequin was lost that I could find. I did remove the flower before washing and hand washed it because some of the punch caught it as well. Also came out beautiful.no evidence of a stain at all.Overall, I'm VERY impressed at how easy it is to keep this dress looking like it's brand new. It's now been worn 3 times and it will be worn again over Easter at least once. She loves it because it's an awesome twirling dress that looks like a rainbow. I love it cause it makes her happy and it's one of the few that isn't an absolute headache to maintain. HIGHLY recommend, especially at this price!
