When I took these chocolate frog silicone molds out of the packaging they had a really strong smell, a bit like chemicals. I washed her thoroughly with soap and water, but no improvement; I soaked her in vinegar and soda but there was no improvement; I boiled them in hot water for a few minutes and they were way better. I doused it with melted chocolate and refrigerated it overnight. The frogs jumped out nicely in the morning but the mold smelled like food in the fridge. So be careful, you may need to boil the molds after each use to remove residual odors. Otherwise they are the size and shape I wanted and will likely use quite a bit of them.
