I had two rooms that I wanted frosted glass doors in, but they are CRAZY expensive to buy. So I found two doors online, cheap, and ordered this vertically striped sheet. I have used Rabittgoo products before so I know how good they are. The vertical stripes make it VERY easy to trim to the right width, I just followed the lines the length of the film. Rabittgoo foil is heavier than many foils, which is a big plus - it doesn't wrinkle, doesn't tear, makes it really easier to apply. Very pleased with how these doors turned out! I've had friends tell me they look like they were done by a pro, the stripes are exactly the modern clean look I wanted. A few installation tips, having done this many times: Squeeze out the air bubbles and I did it with a scraper - GET THE GLASS! This allows air bubbles to be squeezed out with absolutely no effort. Done and done, in 1/16th the time of any other method. By squeezing out air bubbles, they also seriously spray the film with a soapy solution as soon as you apply it, making it much easier to move the squeegee across the film. When you're done, just wipe it all off.* The demo video shows the guy using a small, handheld ruler to make cuts. The type of ruler you use matters - you don't want the edge to be too thick or it will prevent you from getting a good cut. Too flimsy and you can't hold onto it well enough - you need to press it really hard against the edge of the window to get a good cut. A thin metal ruler is EXACTLY RIGHT. If you use a sharp plastic knife like you should, it can cut into the plastic instead of sliding along the edge to make the cut. * Use a NEW sharp blade and be prepared to change blade mid-work. Process if needed - can't stress this enough - it has to be ACUTE. Otherwise, it'll get stuck in the plastic and you'll be scolded for the mess you made. * RESIST the urge to rip off a piece when you cut it and there is a small loose piece. Put the ruler back down and cut it like this. Pulling can create holes in unwanted parts.* View a DEMO online to learn how to install them. At the corners, when it's time to peel off the foil, I highly recommend sticking on two small pieces of tape. They only say to use tape, but the type of tape matters. You want something that's strong enough to stick to the plastic, but then pulls off easily enough when you're done.* After all, soapy water is your friend in this process - don't skimp on it. Apply liberally to a clean window, liberally to the film you intend to apply, generously to the film already applied to help squeeze out any air bubbles.
