I bought it in a hurry just before Christmas, so I didn't fully read the description / reviews before buying. I was very disappointed when my daughter opened it as I was expecting the bad kids "play makeup" that you would see at Claire's. It was a very stupid mistake on my part, but I'd still like to buy knowing what I know now. The fake makeup turned out to be exactly what my little one needed. My 4 year old absolutely loves this set and each one gets their own special makeover! The large pink fluffy brush in the set needed a wash because a little girl thought it would be nice to dip her brush in toothpaste. I've made sure it doesn't fade and it seems to be holding up well after the first wash.
