This timer is essential for keeping track of tasks like housework and cooking. It's impossible to forget when to take the laundry out of the dryer when the timer is up. The volume of each timer is adjustable. I recommend just playing around with the timer as you press each key. You should be able to learn the button logic fairly easily. The build quality is first class. No problems in this department. The only downside, albeit a small one, is that it's difficult to install. Of course you can screw it to the wall, but can you stick it to the wall with regular double-sided tape (foam)? no No, unless that tape is thicker than the screws on the back of the timer. I attached two strips of double sided tape: 1 for the legs, one for the corner of the base. It stands on my kitchen table like a photo frame.
