My mouse loves this wheel but it doesn't have enough weight to ride properly. He does his best but sometimes has trouble moving forward. This is a very roomy balance bike and I underestimated how big the 8.5 inch wheel was. It will definitely fit even the largest hamster or gerbil. It was easy to install and runs silently. Unlike the favorite bikes of my youth, which were made of wire and creaked constantly, this one is completely silent. The height is adjustable which is nice. for a little less.
