Review on 🚗 Innova 3160 OBD2 Vehicle Diagnostic Scan Tool: ABS/SRS, Live Data Included by Jake Hillyer

I bought this 3160 to get more features than the 3130 I bought three years ago. I use the scanner several times a year for my cars and family and friends. I received the 3160b as per the specs, not the 3160d as shown in the photo as some reviewers have received. The difference between b and d is in the keyboard. The b has a keyboard like the 3130c. The d's keyboard looks like an improvement - easier to use. The 3130 worked well and paid for itself many times over, but I needed a scanner that would show ABS codes etc. The 3160b came with a manual, software CD and a USB to PC cable, not a 'serial' cable like the 3130. I had a quick look at the new 3160b yesterday and was impressed. First, the keyboard is easier to use than the 3130. Second, I like the graphical representation (real-time data) of fluctuating sensor readings. Note. O2 sensor readings change rapidly. The 3160 seems to display them in slow motion - the 3130 displays them much faster (easier to spot the lazy 02 sensor). This 3160b looks significantly better than the 3130. I'm glad I made the purchase even though I already have a scanner. I recommend this tool over cheaper versions.
