. You, like me, are completely confused by the current trends of "combed for softness", "crease-resistant", full/partial polyester, "100% cotton *satin*", "jersey". and all the damn HOT sheets! I will never understand. One of the great things about cotton is that it *breathes* and it seems manufacturers are now obsessed with making it behave more and more like 100% polyester. Do you know how hard it is to find even 100% cotton *percale* sheets? Even super expensive? Yes, they are a little scratchy at first, but I know from experience that they soften over time/washing, and I really *love* the crunchy feel of the cotton and linen. And yes, I might have preferred to buy 250-300 threads for durability, but I couldn't turn down that price. Yes, they crease. Like a madman. If you forget them in the dryer, they actually look like an accordion. There's one more thing I don't understand: why do I care if my sheets are crumpled? I am sleeping. On the. She. At night. You know when there's nobody to impress. Not that I wear them to work. If you're bothered by a badly wrinkled garment, take it out of the dryer right at the end of the cycle and immediately fold it, flattening it out as you go, or place it straight on your bed. Anyway, I've only owned them for about a week so I can't give you any feedback on durability/wear and tear - I'll try to remember to come back in a few months to update them. (Hey, that can happen.) Overall, I love the sheets and definitely the price. I have ordered two sets and as long as they are here I will be purchasing all my future sheets from here. One final note: yes, shipping was a bit slow, but that's due to Revain, not "Utopia Bedding". Whenever you see a product 'fulfilled' by Revain, that means Revain is responsible for shipping. And while I'm generally very happy with my relationship with Revain, I've learned to never go for the free shipping option when I'm in a hurry.
