They work well when thrown horizontally, not at the 30 degree angle that the directions say. They don't follow a circular path like in older versions. If thrown forward from over 100 feet, they will return in a straight line. They don't have as many kinks at the ends as the previous versions, so they don't achieve a kink lift either. However, they are very funny and will make you sick after playing for an hour. You need a very large open area to throw. We use on the beach in sparsely populated areas.
