New Machine In Town!

I am a 66 year old music legend. My hyper tension and blood pressure has been an issue for years. I manage it by taking my vitals three times a day. I take care of my health so having a stable blood pressure machine is vital. I was drawn to each one of my five bp machines for its features but most of all, accuracy. I have spent a lot of time in hospitals and wanted to match my bp machine against the nursing station bp big boy! Well that machine failed by over 20 points ! I switched to the ones used in the doctors office. With the Omron BP742N bp machine I had a second hospital stay. Again I matched my portable Omron to the hospital bp big boy. This one came amazingly close! I wanted a bp machine to keep track thru Bluetooth. I picked the latest model. It uses a 3 time reading. Not bad but I am compromising just a little for that feature. Up comes the Renpho RPM001! The draw on this machine was the "Speech” feature, it’s great! It also comes with a travel bag. The small size is great too. It has usb power as well as battery. That’s great features in one unit for $30! I wasn’t taking too big a chance so I bought this unit. I have matched the Renpho machine against Omron RPM001, Walgreens top of the line bluetooth , and the Mabis SmartRead. Unfortunately the Renpho was not consistent. It leaned in the high direction on every reading. If this unit was calibrated correctly and had Bluetooth it would be my number one machine! I love it! If you buy this model just know your bp may not be as high as it appears.

Cons
  • Measurements are inaccurate and dangerous because one might disregard or miss a real fluctuation.
