Review on Upgrade Your Power Washer With A Vertical Pressure Washer Pump Replacement - 2400-2800PSI, 7/8'' Shaft by Daniel Postle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

3 bolt mount holds 3.75-horse motor.

I like the extra PSI, 2800, versus only 2000 from my original pump for tough jobs like cleaning my cement driveway surface, deck surface and house siding. Like someone else said in reviews, the pump could be a bit much for my small 3.75 HP motor, but I remember torturing Briggs and Stratton on go-karts when I was a kid and these classic Briggs and Stratton Sprint motors can take it. I will re-post here if the motor blows up, which I seriously doubt it will as long as I change the oil occasionally like any other gasoline combustion engine. This was a 3-hole attachment on the Briggs and Stratton Sprint motor, which also acts as a motor mount to the frame, by the way. Make sure you use locking nuts or washers. I used both and had to make a trip to Lowes for longer bolts because the new pump had thicker mounting points -- for good reason because this pump puts out some unbelievable water pressure and needs the extra metal for durability! I also had to grind off a tiny bit of soft alumimum metal from one of the mounting legs so it would fit over a part of the motor casting reinforcement perfectly. I am really pleased that I was able to re-use the Sprint motor - otherwise it too was destined for a go-kart track someday. 😁 It's super light and great for manuevarability on a 2-wheeled pump dolly.

Pros
  • Part needed washer under each mounting bracket
Cons
  • May not improve cleaning performance as promised
