I have used Tear Aid Fabric Repair countless times over the years and buying it in rolls and cutting to size is the most economical method. I've used it for both emergency and permanent canvas or cotton repairs - be it my clothing, camping gear, and camp gear. The key to making sure it sticks well to the fabric is how clean the fabric needs to be to begin with. If it is not possible to clean the fabric beforehand, as in an emergency or on-site repair, at least make sure the fabric is dry. If the fabric is dirty and you don't have masking tape, use a sacrificial piece of tear cleanser to remove dirt particles and then another piece to glue or repair the fabric. Note that this isn't the best cosmetic option - if you really care how it looks when you're done, you'll see the renovation, though it's clear. If your fingers are not clean, the sticky side may be dirty and you will see fingerprints through the clear tape after installation. The bottom line is this is a great product when the fabric is clean, dry and applied correctly. , it can take a long time. Less than ideal conditions require a little more care and at least making sure the fabric is dry for best results. Thank you for reading.
