I just leave mine plugged in and have been using it for a few months now. Excellent monitor speakers. I like how it monitors the temperature. It's very accurate. The night vision is great, it also beeps and tells you when you've lost the signal instead of just turning it off which is great. It has a clip and a stand, so both options are great. It also has brightness settings that you can change. So when you sleep and don't like bright lights, you can lower the screen brightness. I love that you can talk to your child, although ours doesn't seem to like being spoken to the camera so we won't be using this until the child is older. Overall a wonderful product and I will buy an extra camera if I can find one!
