I have to say I was very disappointed when I received this. I figured it would have some adapters to actually interact with my detector (e.g. insert and secure window mount). However, like all others, this is a stick decision. Because of the high temperatures in Texas, I was staunchly opposed to solving the problem. Furthermore, while this is a solid solution, it is NOT technically suitable for my device YET. My device is approaching a point or corner from above. The embroidery pad is designed for a flat surface. However, cooler heads prevailed and I figured I could just mount my device upside down (actually it worked pretty well as I can access the mute button by pressing up on the device instead of down and broke the alignment) . Also, the hardware itself is very good and surprisingly the adhesive didn't fail like I thought it would. We haven't hit 100 degrees yet so only time will tell.
