I got it for my elderly mother. She gives you eye drops for glaucoma at night before you go to bed and has to wait about 5 minutes for each eye. She would occasionally fall asleep and then not remember whether she had both eyes closed or not, or would sometimes wake up only in the morning. The medicine has to be kept in the fridge, so that wasn't good. It is very easy for them to use this timer. Simply place it with the 5 minute side of the cube facing up and the countdown will start automatically. Blank side up when not in use. Now she can easily treat both eyes. Really great product. I work well and am well built. There is a switch that sets 2 alarm volumes or turns the cube off. But you don't really have to turn it off.
