Review on PDMPlus by Bruce Saywon

As an Oracle DBA it's been easy to switch the data base from oracle 8i (which was no help at all with this product) over to 11gR2 - this made our life as dba/ops admin much easier! There are still many quirks which sometimes make your head spin but overall I feel that everything works well together. The documentation does not cover very advanced functionality like a few other vendors do. If you have experience working with Oracle Database administration then there will be little learning curve associated while switching servers around as long we stick to basic operations. This has eased up my work load enormously when troubleshooting issues such ORA-01031 during system failover events etc where having access to database log files via pdm plus would've saved me days of time figuring out what went wrong. I have been using this product to manage our Cisco routers for about 5 years now. It has always worked flawlessly and has never crashed. The GUI is very user friendly. It is not as robust as other products out there but it does what we need it to do. We can't afford another expensive solution so we are stuck with pdmplus for now. If you're looking for a cheap solution that works then this is your best bet. This software will help you manage all of your cisco devices.
