I use this as a playpen for my dwarf hamster when I need to clean his cage or just let him run around. It's bigger than I thought it would be, but not too big for me to fit in my room. The walls are definitely high enough for a small hamster but not sure about animals like rabbits, he tries to climb them but can't. He doesn't really like to chew, so I don't know if other animals without harder walls will be able to gnaw through body parts. My only complaint is that I find it very difficult to roll it back into a circle and put it in my bag. The folding instructions are a little confusing, but it comes in handy when I can make it.
