Review on πŸ”Œ Enhance Your Audio Experience with AudioQuest PowerQuest 2 6-Outlet Surge Protector (PQ2) by Duke Ballard

Don't trust the specs

I bought this for my home office because of the undemanding surge protector (the cheap one I have now blinks, meaning it will pass current but no longer protect) and " High Speed "USB ports with a total current of 3.4 amps. Unfortunately, the current listed cannot be accurate or even approximate. I plugged my phone into one of the ports and after 30 minutes noticed the display went off The battery level didn't increase at all. In fact, I then took it out and started looking for apps that might be draining power and the battery level started to drop when the display was on. Then I turned off my phone and let it charge An hour later the level was only up 3 percent.I then plugged the phone into a wall outlet with USB ports using the same charging cable plugged in and listed a total current of 3.4 amps, and it charged my phone in less than 10 minutes (rate was 94 percent when I first plugged his in). This is in my home office as I want the USB ports to charge devices in a timely manner.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Unreliable
