I have been using Pur jugs for many years, when the old one broke I automatically looked for a new one. This one looked pretty good, the black case hid the blue filters making it more aesthetically pleasing. I also found the lid to be a snugger fit than my old model so it doesn't leak when pouring. However, what struck me the most was how slow these filters are now. I understand that the filtering will slow down after you've used it for a month or two, but that's not the case here. maybe two weeks later and I've already noticed that they've slowed down considerably. So if you want clean, refreshing water, you'd better filter it first.
