I bought this Rankie DisplayPort cable to connect my graphics card to my monitor. At that price it was cheap and seemed like an easy purchase. At first it worked and gave the monitor a 1080p signal so I could get the output. However, when I moved my computer or adjusted the monitor, the signal dropped intermittently, regardless of whether the computer was on (the monitor stopped receiving a signal from the computer). To restore the signal I would have to unplug the cable and plug it back in. Even the slightest impact can cause the signal to drop. This was a huge pain for me because I share my monitor with my wife and I have to constantly plug/unplug USB sticks and headphones. I ended up returning it due to constant signal drops and bought an Accell cable. I had no problems after changing the cable. I would like to point out that Rankie is not listed as an official DisplayPort product and as such has not necessarily been tested to the strict rules of the DisplayPort standards. However, the Accell cable is on the official list. In addition, the Accell cable appears to be qualitatively thicker and more durable than the rubber material Rankie used for his cable. There are loads of cables, but if it's possible for you, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Also, I don't want to overlook the fact that I may have been sent a faulty cable which is why I gave this product 2 stars.
