Review on ๐Ÿšฟ Enhanced Shower Experience: Filtered Shower Head for Chlorine Reduction, Dissolved Solids Removal, and Increased Water Pressure by Ashley Janney

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great filtration, great pressure!

Bought this as an upgrade to several other shower filters I've tried which all reduce the pressure significantly. Our city water is a bit hard, tastes like red iron and smells terribly of chlorine. This shower head does everything and does not reduce the pressure. The shower head is all metal, well made and heavy, but a little smaller than I thought. The internal filter unit itself installs easily, although it doesn't fit like other filters, so don't expect that. The filter mat is then placed between the shower partition and the filter block. The only problem I had was screwing the front to the body. The threads are very thin and tight so it took about 10 minutes to get everything lined up and screwed down properly. I teflon tapeed all the other threads and removed the inlet strainer washer as I already have a house filter and don't want the pressure to drop. The instructions don't state the use of pipe lube or Teflon tape, which is why others may be reporting some joint leaks. I haven't had any such problems at all. The quality of the soul is excellent. Numerous tiny holes throughout the shower head create a gentle jet that is 100% water as this device is not aerated. That's at least 3 gpm with my city water. However, if you're looking for a shower head that hits your neck with three thick jets down the center of your head, this isn't for you! This is a powerful head that delivers a powerful hit over the entire surface of the head. This is a great product that is superior to other national brand filters I have used. All filter, but others dramatically reduce pressure; there is none in it and the chlorine smell is completely gone and also no itching and no water stains! Others notice that the shower head drips after the shower is turned off. This is NOT a leak but the result of using a filter with a pad just behind the face to filter water and spread it all over the face. It's easy enough for me to press my face for 1 second to squeeze the water out of the pad. This reduces the residual waste to one minute.
