Very well made natural rubber mat made from recycled tires. It would make a very good tailgate mat, but it can be used for other purposes. I needed two good quality rubber mats to put under my Silverado's front wheels. Especially in winter, it sometimes lies motionless on the concrete floor of my garage for weeks, so flat spots can form on the tires. These flat spots can become permanent if left in one spot for too long, which is why some people park their car or truck on blocks. But even temporary flat spots can take miles or longer to flatten out. This is a trick I got from my father-in-law. He used pieces of plywood. I decided to try rubber but found that only real tire rubber would do the job. These trunk mats are perfect. I simply cut the mat in half with a utility knife and Walla which was the perfect protection for my front tires. I used a box cutter and 2x4 under the mat when I cut it and it was done in a few minutes. Now I just drive to my garage until I feel the floor mats and then slowly stop. Comparable pieces of natural rubber sold for this specific purpose were much more expensive and no better than this tailgate mat.
