According to published test results, we have a really good water supply. I haven't done any tests myself, but I can feel the difference in our water, especially when brewing coffee. Obviously the filter is removing something as after about 6 months the flow rate starts to decrease and we know it's time to replace it. In addition, I can use tap water directly for our aquarium because it contains no chlorine after filtering. The filter is very easy to replace - no tools required. I just wish it had a bigger feed line for better flow rates, but then it might not filter. The flow rate is only slightly reduced by the filter.
