Installed into my 2018 m3. My model year M3 does not come with a pre filter from the factory but I decided to try this. I had no issues with my cabin filters prior. The design is poor. One side is flat and the other shaped like a standard filter. Installed, the flat portion of the filter faces out. The flat design alone reduces the surface area restricting intake air flow and likely making the blower work harder. I failed to see this in the photos prior to purchasing. I cannot discern any difference with a pre filter and new OEM cabin filters. I do see that if it rains the pre filter can get wet and worsen airflow. I will leave it on until that happens and likely won't replace it.
