Wish this was a kitchen tool many years ago. On the front, the grille was light and very thin the first time I used it. Especially with ginger, which is difficult to chop finely, this grater is so quick and easy. Very impressed, especially as I cook with ginger every week and I don't need big chunks in my food. The grater does an amazing job of giving me ready-grated nuts, cheese, ginger, garlic, chocolate, and other foods that I don't want to throw in a big grinder when all I need is a grated clove. Cleaning is easy and a small cleaning brush is also included to remove residue from the grater. When you are done washing and drying, you can put the lid in the kitchen drawer. I was also able to use the lid while grating, which allowed me to grate small pieces of ginger and garlic without touching the surface of the grate with my fingers. This protects your hands when rubbing some pieces. Conclusion - easy to grate even small pieces, easy to clean, small and compact, convenient storage and safety with lid.
