We love using these warmers
. The only problem we had was that the wicks of the tea lights were too close to the bottom of the bowel. After the butter has melted it will start to boil slightly, the butter will spit out etc. Blowing out the candle solves this problem and our experience is that the bowls hold the heat long enough to finish dipping the lobster or crab meat and that Butter stays melted. . Remember this precaution.
