The tote bag was better than expected.

When buying a set this big, the carrying case is almost as important as the bits themselves. Given my previous experience with inexpensive Asian kits, I was expecting a HORRIBLE carrying case. In fact, without seeing my eyes, I was planning on throwing the suitcase away and making my own. BUT I was pleasantly surprised by who this set is in. It's all wood, no foam, and more durable than expected. Note that this is pine. You can't hit it or drop it, but what it is is well made. The only thing I would change is the hinges, too small and flimsy. I will replace them with a piano joint through. Each bit is held in its respective hole by a polypropylene sleeve. I don't know why they did this, but none of the parts are loose. Holds tight but not too strong. I can't confirm the quality of the beat yet. I don't route often, but I hate not having the right bit to work with when I need to.

Pros
  • High quality, thick, fine-grain C3 tungsten carbide blades for a sharper, more durable edge with optimal hook and rake angles. Correct the relief angle to avoid burns.
Cons
  • Expensive
