I've used the collar several times a day since recieving it 1/27 (less than 2 months ago) to take my 30lb 6 month old puppy out to go potty and few times on walks. She is a puppy so there is some pulling but she is not that heavy or strong and we don't let her pull too much so she doesn't damage her windpipe. The wire links on either side of this collar are NOT sodered. One opened, nearly letting the collar come undone before I noticed. I checked some other martingale collars at the pet store and those all have solidly sodered links. The ones on this collar were, obviously, never sodered closed. I was able to close the gap with a pliers but I can no longer feel safe using this collar. To bad because the collar was, otherwise, really lovely and good quality.
