Update July 2014: I have been using three 3TB drives daily for almost 2 years now. I am very happy with their performance. In response to a few other reviewers, I used USB3 for these as I've hooked them up to multiple computers with no issues. I estimate that I'm getting transfer speeds of around 80Mbps (much faster than USB2). As for the incompatibility with Windows XP, it's also incompatible with DOS 3.1 (sarcasm intended). The only issues I've encountered are issues with all disks - a few bad sectors - managed via chkdsk. I intend to buy more of these discs in the future. Original post, Nov 2012: I had several secure Apricorn drives. They have always been easy to use and offer the highest level of security. This latest version has even more features. The most important thing to know is that the security of the encryption is guaranteed by the Apricorn electronics. Take out the disk and try to access the data - no chance. Due to the way they implement unlocking, the device is also protected from brute force hacking. The documentation is easy to understand (as simple as it gets). I couldn't be happier. I bought two to regularly back up the main drive (eventually all hard drives fail) and I will be buying a third (for offsite backups).
