Large suits my grandson very well. This is a 40 pound Labradoodle, about 21 inches from nape to tail. Not as big as some of the other dogs mentioned in previous reviews so he is more relaxed but definitely the right size for him. The carrier would most likely be too small at the time of ordering (plus, it couldn't be purchased with Prime). FORWARD!
