Review on Sony VPL VW50 1080P Theater Projector by Shawn Jimenez

I have had this projector since it came out, about 8 years. I'm on the second bulb, preparing for the third. This is a beautiful projector. The picture quality is very, very good, the fan noise is very quiet, especially with the built-in baffle. My couch is right under the projector and you can't hear it working when there's noise in the room, even a quiet conversation, or the air conditioner is on. My only wish is that it could be a bit brighter, but it's bright enough. Even during the day, my non-tinting glasses are fine. Of course I have a great screen with a gain of more than 1, so I can't comment on its brightness against a normal wall or a less expensive screen.
