Korra the Destroyer

My 1yr old border collie/blue heeler dog has teeth like a surgeon's knife. She can chew through pretty much all of the toys we've given her. This toy has lasted a long time, and lasted really well. However, she does chew the plastic side, and it has now become quite jaggedy and painful for us. She's fine with it and doesn't hurt herself, but us humans step on it and it's like stepping on legos. I'm considering sanding it down to preserve it longer.
