Review on Bodies Unfinished Wooden Dolls Birch by Wendy Rodriguez

Very well made, high quality wood, very smooth. I just apply a thin coat of primer and then paint my dolls. Will buy again when I've finished my batch! Edit: I wanted to add some details on working with puppets. Keep in mind that while these dolls appear to be made out of good quality wood, they are still porous. When I paint them I cover them with a few coats of acrylic gesso. I use the cheapest acrylic paints you can find at Walmart and usually don't need more than one coat, maybe a few. Thus, the sealed wood does not "eat" the paint. I post a picture. finished product to show how well the paint lays on it - imperfections on a white doll. His face is really something I don't plaster to the end. The doll had no defects. I also used hot glue to attach the crowns - holds up great!
