1 shelf was already broken in the box. This allowed me to see that the pages were just glued on, not a single nail to speak of. The sides and bottom are cut at a 45° angle and the nail hooks are on the sides. This means that the weight of anything you put on this shelf will depend on the adhesive holding the bottom panel to the side panels. Anything over $5 is a rip off to them. I'm getting mine back and just assembling mine which I should have done first. A shelf of this shape should have 2 screws through the bottom panel and into the side panels on either side to make it firm and secure and able to hold some weight with confidence.
