I've used a steam cleaner to keep the floors clean in my multi-pet house for years. The latter survived 8 years of regular use so I was disappointed to learn it was discontinued. I've been looking for a replacement for a long time and I'm glad I chose this one. There were more expensive devices, but a common complaint in reviews of all cleaners, regardless of price, was insufficient durability. I'd rather try a cheaper device. Time will tell if this vaporizer will hold up, but I'm happy with it so far. What I like: The fabric is easy to change. Once attached, the fabric stays securely attached. My previous device had flat fabric clips on each side and it slipped out of position. It is better. There are 3 steam levels so I can steam my engineered wood with lighter steam and porcelain stoneware with the strongest steam. I like the opportunity to take better care of the tree. The water tank is very easy to remove and fill. My old device had a heavy lid that I had to unscrew while it was very hot and then add water through a special measuring cup and funnel. it was pain Now all I have to do is pull out the tank, unscrew the plastic cap (not hot), fill it up and put it back in place. The water heats up very quickly, probably less than a minute, which is a lot quicker than my old one. The steam head is a good size, allowing me to clean floors fairly quickly, and it pivots very well, making it easier and more ergonomic to use. Also, the handle is more ergonomic than the straight handle. The handle makes it easy to slide the device on the floor. Another great feature of the handle is that it locks in place and stays upright. My old one kept falling off, so annoying. Finally, the cord holder is large enough to actually hold the cord, making it easy to store this steamer without creating a mess. . To get enough pressure on it to really brush, you need to step on it lightly. I don't really like doing that. However, the beauty of a steam cleaner is that if you leave it on caked dirt for 15 seconds, it will pretty much vaporize it. A scraper is not needed anyway. The only thing I would like to change about this vacuum cleaner is a slightly longer cord. I can do my whole kitchen without unplugging, but it's a bit cramped.
