My first robot vacuum was purchased by me in 2022. It wasn't the most expensive model, but it caused me a lot of trouble. He kept coming to a halt with an error, and once he wound wool with hair on the gearbox before getting up lifeless. Since he simplified my life regardless, I kept him around for a while (n years), but eventually I grew weary of him and bought myself a regular, powerful one. I didn't exactly jump with delight when I acquired this one recently. He cleans, and I hardly have to lift a finger. This is exactly what I hoped for when I purchased the first one. Sometimes I'll spend ten seconds cleaning the hair that he wound by stretching out a rag from a wet cleaning session, shaking out the dust. The house is cleaner than it has ever been, and that's saying a lot.
